Blepharospasm is estimated to affect 120,000 people in the US and 2,400,000 worldwide. It may potentially impact quality of life, mental health, as well as ability to drive and work. BEBRF research suggested that it may take from 2-5years from symptom onset to diagnosis. This presents a considerable clinical challenge that we aim to address.

 

We are developing the Blepharospasm App for the detection, referral and management of this condition. It is a cutting-edge mobile application designed to detect and analyze blinking patterns through the utilization of advanced facial recognition technology. This app will be available on both iOS and Android platforms.
